If I were 20 years older, I would refrain from watching games where Chris Lee officiates. I’d get a heart attack.
That referee is the epitome of sad. In all the games he is part of, there is at least one bad call. I cannot understand how the NHL tolerates this sad excuse for a professional sport guardian of the rules. Isn’t there anyone in the Bettman’s league aware of Lee’s shortcomings? Why isn’t there anything done? Can’t he just be fired? Let go of? For heaven’s sake, send him to the minor league.
If you’re a Habs fan, you have probably watch tonight’s game, either on RDS–or elsewhere, and saw how Lee dealed with the Canadiens’ goal mid-way through the third period. The goal was denied because, from what we saw, Lee had whistled before the puck had entered the net. After RDS showed what happened, it is clear that it was a goal. It was borderline, I have to agree, but a goal is a goal. Close call or not. But that’s not my main gripe. The reason why I’m so pissed is that Lee didn’t even took the time to , himself, review the call or call Toronto to assure it was the right call. This moronic pedant, overconfident arse should be banned from hockey anywhere in the world.
Among certain circles in the NHL’s commentators, analysts and newspersons, he is known as a blunderer, an overconfident loser and other names I shall keep quiet. I’m sure you can find that information for yourself. This is not a joke! When he is on the ice, blunders, missed or bad calls are assured.
You know, I mostly dislike Bill McCreary, but I respect the man. A lot. I know it might not mean much to anyone, but I do. Often times, when he is refereeing, I sneer at him while I watch the game, but, although he is not without fail, he is fair and more than I care to admit, he is often right. This is not to say that he is always right, but his long experience has taught him valuable lessons. That’s something I do not even wish to see from Chris Lee. Let him disappear somewhere.
Chris Lee is obviously biased. There is enough evidence everywhere to make that judgment. It is also obvious he hates the Canadiens team. He has the right to, but he cannot let that affect his judgment on the ice. Let him hate whoever he wants off the ice. I don’t care. But once you’re on the ice, you’re supposed to be neutral, unbiased and fair. Things he obviously isn’t.
Yes, I’m pissed. If I were an asshole I’d wish him dead. But I’m not. All I want is for him to lose his job, or at least a very hefty fine.
Chris Lee, you can thank your union, because if it weren’t for it, you’d be gone for a very long time. If you hate hockey so much, do the right thing and just quit.
